Replacing or Re-Installing Vinyl

What if after a few years you’d like to change a certain wall or door surround to a new and fresh style?

In General.

Well removing vinyl can be as easy as installing vinyl if you follow a few simple steps (depending on the substrate, install method, primer and more). Although designed to be permanent, vinyl film can be removed without damaging the underlying surface, depending on the surface vinyl is installed to. The toughest part is actually peeling the vinyl, which will take roughly 30 mins to 2 hours depending on how long ago the vinyl was installed, the substrate and the method of installation (and more). Also, the vinyl will most likely come off in pieces of strips as the film will most likely become one with the underlying surface. After the vinyl is removed, there will be residue left behind from the removed vinyl that will take additional time to remove. Once done, the surface is ready for pre-wrap prep installation! Methods to remove depend completely on the substrate.
